Barcode Verification

Verification is an official test scan of a printed barcode on the label or product packaging. A few retailers require barcode verification for products entering their stores. They want to check that the barcode will scan well at checkouts. Retailers in Singapore do not usually require verification. Retailers in the USA, Australia & New Zealand more commonly need it. It tends to be the fast-moving consumer goods, the supermarkets and large hardware chains.

Verification tests are specialist tests using the highest quality verification technology to internationally recognized barcoding guidelines. After verifying your barcode, we will email the verification report to you (a ‘Pass’ grade is A, B, C, or D, and a ‘Fail’ grade is E or F). Verification usually takes three days (after we receive your barcode).
