The inception of GentleFoods® was inspired by a profound question by its founder, Yiru: “What happens if one day a person cannot eat?” This question emerged from Singapore and Asia’s ageing population and the increasing prevalence of swallowing difficulties. The limited food options available often left many to settle for porridge. Through dedicated research and development, GentleFoods® has developed moulded, puréed, safe, nutritious, and appealing food.

In collaboration with hospitals, clinicians, and a dedicated team of speech therapists, dieticians, and chefs, GentleFoods® continuously refines its offerings to ensure they are both nutritious and delicious.
